Rehabilitation
Mary Hibbard Rehabilitation
Department
Rehabilitation at Beechtree Care Center offers a supportive
environment for people who have
experienced a disabling injury or illness.
At
Reconstruction Junction, the new name for our Rehabilitation
Wing,
staff works with residents to regain the highest
level of function and independence possible.
Our experienced,
fulltime rehabilitation professionals are dedicated to providing
skilled and compassionate care using state-of-the-art equipment,
individually-tailored therapy programs, and motivational skills
on a daily basis.
Following
a thorough evaluation by our team of physicians, nurses and therapists,
a treatment plan is customized to meet each patient's needs and
goals. Most individuals require a combination of physical
therapy, occupational therapy, speech
therapy, and skilled nursing care. Our interdisciplinary team
approach includes incorporating meaningful daily activities
into treatment plans, providing an integral link to achieving individual
goals for recovery.
Prior to discharge,
a home visit by our rehabilitation team may be warranted to assess
home safety and to make recommendations concerning patient care. Individuals
who have reached their maximum rehabilitation potential, yet are unable
to safely return home, will be offered permanent residency. A rehabilitation
maintenance program to sustain strength and mobility may be recommended
at this time.
Our ultimate goal is to help individuals return home
to a quality, productive, healthy life.
